By being upfront about our policies, we aim to build trust and encourage the creative community that makes tabletop gaming so vibrant.

Commercial Use License

You can use our handouts for commercial purposes in your published TTRPG scenarios by following these simple guidelines:

• TTRPG scenarios only - Our handouts may only be used as handouts in published tabletop RPG scenarios in print or digital format. For other commercial uses, please contact us to discuss licensing options.
• Attribution required - Include proper attribution in your scenario credits (see example below). If you prefer not to include attribution, contact us about alternative licensing rates.
• Let us know - We'd love to hear about your project! Send us details about your scenario and which handouts you're using so we can feature your work and add you to our content creator program.

Prohibited Content: Most handouts are available for commercial use, with a few exceptions: Futuristic Newspaper, Provision Certificate, and Deer Tag. This list may change, so please send us your handout selections for verification before publication.

Attribution Example: "Handouts in this scenario were created using Cthulhu Architect's Handout Generator under license. Learn more at https://handouts.cthulhuarchitect.com"

Why We Ask for Project Details: We maintain an archive of scenarios using our handouts to help promote your work across our website and social media. Publishers get access to our content creator program with dedicated scenario pages and enhanced sharing tools.

Commercial Licensing Pricing

Standard Commercial License To use our handouts in your published scenario, subscribe at the Nameless Horror tier. We operate on a trust-based system rather than charging per handout - we rely on your fair judgment to support us appropriately based on your usage.

• Minimum commitment: 1 month subscription required
• Fair use principle: Consider subscribing for additional months if using multiple handouts or for high-volume projects
• Ongoing support: Extended subscriptions help us continue creating new content for the community

Open to All Creators Our content creator program welcomes any TTRPG scenario publisher, regardless of whether your handouts were originally created with Handout Generator. For existing handouts, we'll work within our capacity to import and recreate them in our system.
